A Viewfinder is a tool to ‘bind the edges’ of anything or place.
Often it’s difficult to zero in on particular things to create a good,
strong, pleasing composition. A viewfinder helps us find that perfect
image.

Vocabulary
Composition– The way components of art are arranged by the artist
Positive Shapes– objects or persons in art
Negative Shapes– the empty space around them. Positive & Negative have to work together for a good composition, breaking up the edges of the paper.
Format– limiting boundaries, length and width, around them
Center of Interest– the main thing that catches our eye in an art work, often works best when Not directly in the center.
Movement– flow of all shapes and colors around the center of interest
