Distant Light is a lightening up around me. I feel as though taking steps to be protected with the vaccine, gets me closer to travel, to visiting with family and friends, and releases a lot of the fear of the unknown.
As I do physical therapy and strengthen my body, I’m heading in the right direction to get back to Normal in my shoulder, wrist and hand. But, I find that doing no damage to myself also means standing up to the ‘experts’ and stepping back when what they think I should do creates pain, swelling, and discomfort. They have an agenda they’ve learned, but each of us is different. When in pain, stop what you’re doing. Pain isn’t always good unless you snap back from it better than ever. Love yourself above all else.
I feel as though every forward step may also have a backward slide.
Keep listening to your body, and acting upon it. The Distant Light painting shows the waters of emotion, hemmed in on the sides by darkness. We must keep to the center path and flow forward. We are our best knowing experts when it comes to our bodies. Art is a powerful metaphor for life.
So follow your heart, make wise choices for yourself, and aim for as Normal as possible in this new way of life. Follow the Distant Light loyally to your destination home.
